Las Terrenas is a nice community with only 30 000 people. It is home to several beaches and amazing landscapes. It's not only that. You will never be disappointed about Dominican behavior. They are known for their courtesy. They will always assure themselves that they could help you as you deserve to.
But being a good helper does not mean education is at its peak. Their system ranks among the worst in the world. Unfortunately, not all of the kids have access to school. Since teachers are badly paid and not enough money is collected. So they attend school late and only have a few years of scholarship.

At el Limon 15 minutes driving from Las Terrenas, we can meet Leandro a young local Dominican that dedicates his time to the young generations.
Every Saturday he will bring them for a beach clean-up, to educate them about the environment.
